Dad, Me & Nate going out AGAIN....we love the snow!!!!

Well, a ton has been going on since Christmas....so, I thought it was time to update the blog ;-)

This year we started a new tradition for our New Years Eve....snowmobiling, family, food, fun, drinks & campfire. Yes, that's right....campfire in January. We spent our New Year's Eve at my parents WI cabin. It was a great time w/ my family & close family friends. My Dad shoveled a path out to the campfire pit & we toasted to a New Year! We were so ready for a New Year....2009 was a little rough, but the best thing we got out of last year was our daughter ;-) We stayed at the cabin Thursday night until Sunday afternoon, it was a mini-vaca. Nate & my Dad did a ton of snowmobiling during the day & night. I joined them during the day while Grammie watched Jordan. We didn't have to twist her arm for that.

Nate & I have been busy working...when we have our down time we love to just stay at home w/ our little family. It is amazing how just 5 years ago we were always going out & now we are happy to watch a movie & be in bed by 10:00 p.m. Our nights now consist of eating time, reading time, playing time, bathing time, & then sleeping time. Oh the joys of parenting. We wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. Nate is such a wonderful father...I love to watch him w/ Jordan. It melts my heart & makes me love him more....if that was possible! He tells me I'm the bestest Mom ever...I tell him it's because I have a great role model, my mom!

Jordan is getting so big...she is now 3 months old. I keep telling her she has to stay little, but I didn't listen to my Dad when he said, "You have to stay 6 & little"....so, if Jordan is anything like me she won't listen either. Jordan can now lift her head up & do little pushups. She is a sturdy girl...her favorite thing is to stand up, while we hold her up of course. She is so curious always looking around & staring at things. She loves to watch the fish swim in the tank in the basement. She has been trying to roll over, but no success yet. We did find her at the end of crib the other day laying the opposite way we put her to sleep. She must have had a big party & we weren't invited. Jordan has been sleeping 7 1/2 to 8 hours every night for the last 3 weeks. We are very lucky to have such a good baby! We are guessing teeth are in our future....she loves to eat her hands & drools all the time. If she is like me she'll get teeth early. I had my first at 12 weeks. I know she looks like Nate, but she loves to talk like me & she is very smiley too ;-) I warned Nate, if she looks like you, she will act like me.....wahahaha....scary I know!

Well, this past weekend we had Jordan's baptism. Her godparents are Aimee LePla (my sister), Mandy Behnke (Nate's sister) & Brock Behnke (our brother-in-law). We had the baptism during our church service @ Immanuel Lutheran (where we got married). After the service we had our families come back to our house for a luncheon. Jordan received so many presents & was a beautiful & wonderful baby during the whole day. We are so proud of her! We continue to be amazed by our daughter....she makes us smile everyday. We are so thankful for such a wonderful gift. We want to thank everyone who came to the baptism & made our daughters day so special. It was one of many great events in our daughters life & I'm so excited to see what the future brings us.

As always we have posted some pics for your enjoyment. We hope you & your family have a wonderful New Year!

Love xoxoxo,
